I'm not sure that you could tell the difference between the original 20 ohm coils and new 16 ohm coils by the DCR, would be interesting to know the nitty gritty in that respect.20 Ohm speakers with a DCR of 10? Reconed with 16 Ohm VCs?

Is the vent a cooling thing for the VC?
Yes, and those early woofers that used 1 piece cones with paper surrounds used a dust cap with a smaller vent than we're used to seeing on the later style woofers.Originally Posted by alancohen

They sticker shocked me at first too. Then i got to thinking about what they are, and the current prices on other hard to find cones and parts. $255 each actually seems pretty reasonable considering what it costs to recone something like a JBL 2245 these days for instance.
